The question your kids shouldn’t be asking: Melissa Edgington begins, “Sometimes Christian parents feel a bit lost in the culture while raising kids. You wonder how to handle the internet, social media, shows, and music. You wonder how much to tell your kids about some of the things they’re encountering in their social circles, like gender and sexuality. You aren’t even sure what you think about some of these things or what a biblical response is to some of the more complicated questions and demands of the culture they’re experiencing. But there is one decision you can make as a Christian parent that is easy.”
America’s abandoned megaprojects: Did you know that a dome was almost built over Manhattan? I didn’t. “The dome was designed to let Manhattanites live in a climate-controlled environment… and Fuller claimed the money the dome would save on snow removal would pay for its construction.”
Are you a ‘Yeah, but…’ Christian? Tim Challies considers how we do this. For instance, “If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also,” Jesus says. Yeah, but you don’t really mean that in any sense but the metaphorical, right? Surely, I shouldn’t actually allow myself to be harmed without mounting a strong defense. Surely I shouldn’t actually suffer unjustly without some kind of recourse or retaliation?”
Reconstructing Faith: Trevin Wax is in season two of this podcast series, and I recommend them all. My favorite episode so far was probably season 1, episode 7: Can anything good come from DC?
The best-selling vehicle in every state: We love our trucks, don’t we?
